Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Yogurt Base
In a medium bowl, mix Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and honey/maple syrup until smooth.
Divide between two serving bowls and refrigerate while preparing apples.
Step 2: Make the Apple Pie Layer
Heat butter or coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add diced apples, stirring to coat.
Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples soften but remain firm.
Add water and stir to create a light sauce, cooking for another 30 seconds.
Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Step 3: Make the "Caramel" Drizzle
In a small bowl, mix almond/peanut butter and maple syrup/honey.
Stir in warm water gradually until it reaches a drizzle consistency.
Add a pinch of salt and mix.
Step 4: Assemble the Yogurt Bowl
Spoon warm apples over chilled yogurt.
Drizzle caramel sauce in a zigzag pattern.
Sprinkle with granola, nuts, and flaxseed (if using).
Add a final drizzle of honey/maple syrup (optional).
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Make-Ahead Tip:
The apple mixture can be stored for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
Dairy-Free Option:
Use plant-based yogurt and coconut oil instead of butter.
Low-Sugar Version:
Reduce or omit sweeteners and use naturally sweet apple varieties.
