For the Pasta Base:
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth for vegetarian
- 1 cup water
For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 4 tablespoons butter unsalted preferred
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
For Garnish:
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
- Extra Parmesan cheese for serving
- Red pepper flakes optional, for heat
Step 1: Prepare Your One-Pot Setup
Step 2: Cook the Pasta in Broth
Bring chicken broth and water to a boil.
Add spaghetti and stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Cook uncovered for about 5 minutes until partially cooked.
Step 3: Sauté Garlic in Butter
Step 4: Make the Creamy Sauce
Pour garlic-butter mixture into the pasta pot.
Add heavy cream and stir well.
