  • 2 medium apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Salt pepper, and optional spices (garlic powder, smoked paprika)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Chicken: Trim and clean chicken tenders. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices. Marinate in honey and soy sauce for at least 1 hour.
  • Make Glaze: In a saucepan, mix sliced apples, honey, and spices. Simmer until apples soften and glaze thickens.
  • Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sear chicken tenders for 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
  • Glaze Chicken: Lower heat, pour glaze over chicken, and simmer for 2–3 minutes, spooning glaze over tenders.
  • Check Temperature: Ensure chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  • Serve: Plate chicken tenders with glaze and optional sides like roasted veggies or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add smoked paprika or cayenne to the glaze.
  • Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 325°F for 10–12 minutes.
  • Substitute honey with maple syrup for a different flavor profile.
