Equipment

  • Baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 2 cans 8 oz each crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz brie cheese rind removed and cut into 16 pieces
  • 8 fresh figs thinly sliced (or 1 cup fig jam)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme leaves removed
  • Sea salt for finishing
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  • Place a piece of brie near the wide end of each triangle.
  • Top with 2-3 fig slices or a dollop of fig jam.
  • Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with thyme leaves.
  • Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, shaping them into crescents.
  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tips: Slice figs, portion brie, and prepare the egg wash the night before.
  • Brie Tip: Remove the rind completely and let it warm slightly before using.
  • Texture Perfection: Avoid overfilling to keep crescents from leaking.
  • Watch the Oven: Keep an eye on the last few minutes to prevent overbaking.
  • Serving Ideas: Pair with fresh berries, drizzle with extra honey, or serve as part of a brunch charcuterie board.
