- 2 pounds fresh green apples Granny Smith recommended
- 1 cup filtered water
- 2-3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 4 cups carbonated water or seltzer
- Ice for serving
Make the Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine the apple juice, filtered water, honey/maple syrup, and lemon juice.
Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool completely.
Assemble the Soda:
In a glass, mix 2 ounces of the cooled syrup with 8 ounces of chilled carbonated water.
Add ice and garnish with apple slices or mint sprigs.
