- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Pecan Pie Layer:
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1️⃣ Prepare the Cake Batter
In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
2️⃣ Create the Pecan Pie Layer
In a separate bowl, mix corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
3️⃣ Layer & Bake
Pour cake batter into a greased 9x13-inch pan.
Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the batter.
Gently pour the pecan pie mixture on top—do not stir!
Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and set.
