Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted (or coconut oil)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar or brown sugar substitute
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey/agave
  • 2 large eggs or 2 flax eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt or thick coconut yogurt
  • 2 –3 tbsp milk of choice

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour or white whole wheat
  • ¾ cup vanilla protein powder ~60–70g
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Add-ins

  • cup chocolate chips semi-sweet, dark, or sugar-free
  • cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8" pan with parchment paper and spray lightly.

Step 2: Wet Mix

  • Whisk melted butter and brown sugar until lighter and fluffy. Add maple syrup, then eggs (one at a time), vanilla, and Greek yogurt until smooth.

Step 3: Dry Mix

  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.

Step 4: Combine

  • Fold dry into wet ingredients. Add 2 tbsp milk (more if needed) for a thick but spreadable batter. Gently fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts.

Step 5: Bake

  • Spread batter evenly in pan. Sprinkle reserved chocolate chips on top. Bake for 20–24 minutes until edges are golden and center is just set.

Step 6: Cool

  • Cool in pan for 30 mins. Chill for another 30 for cleaner slicing. Cut into 16 squares. Serve at room temp for best gooey texture.

Notes

  • For vegan: Use flax eggs, coconut oil, and dairy-free yogurt/milk.
  • Texture tip: Don’t overbake! Slightly underdone centers = gooey perfection.
  • Flavor swaps: Try caramel chips, sprinkles, fruit, or espresso powder for fun twists.
  • Storage: Keep in airtight container at room temp for 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
